Deer Park Funland

1983 | Muskegon, Michigan

Before it became the largest amusement park in the state of Michigan, Michigan’s Adventure was known as Deer Park Funland. After installing their first roller coaster, the Corkscrew, in 1979, their next major addition was the Arrow log flume known as Logger’s Run in 1983. These pictures are from the opening year of Logger’s Run, and feature several removed rides such as Mutley’s Putt Putts, the Ferris Wheel, and the Spider (the same Spider sold to Michael Jackson for his Neverland Ranch just a few years later).
