Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom

2005-2007 | Aurora, Ohio

On March 10, 2004, Six Flags announced that it was selling one of its largest parks, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Ohio, to its primary competitor, Cedar Fair. Over the next two months, Cedar Fair removed all of the licensing and renamed the park Geauga Lake. In 2005, the park demolished the former SeaWorld Ohio property and opened a new waterpark, Wildwater Kingdom. Despite this, the ride section of the Geauga Lake was closed at the end of the 2007 season, with Wildwater Kingdom operating through 2016.
